A: Faded orange coloring with a crystal clarity, has an eruption of micro effervesce, at a fast pace. The head is billowy at over one and half inches, spongy textured on the surface, an off white coloring and long lasting while leaving a good smear of lacing behind.
S: Grassy, onion and citrusy hops pop on the open. Settles toa soft and piney presence along with some white grapefruit. Aroma is very fluent and soothing, nice level of comfort with some warming oranges.
T: Flavor is sharp and citrusy notes of oranges, lemon with a very clean hop profile. An equally clean and crisp malt profile has a touch of malt sweetness. Grassy pine hops add some flair, nice level of awareness, that is quick and sharp on delivery and rather clean off the tongue.
M: Light carbonation, some malt slickness but otherwise a a very light and crisp feel.
O: A clean pronounced hop bill and clean malt profile makes this a crisp, summertime drinker that is light but flavorful. Sharp citrusy, very clean and refined drinking experience that is a solid drinker with bright hop profile.

This is an average IPA in all respects, but that isn't a bad thing. Somewhat light and a bit too sweet with moderate herbal, grassy, citric, and piney hop presence. Easy to drink and approachable for hop rookies. Nothing wrong here, just not much to rave about either. Falls somewhere between an English IPA/Pale Ale in reality.

Just not making the grade for me. I’m just too crafty these days and Yards remains just in the mainstream. This one is not a refined IPA, I do get the “trash” moniker and it fits.

Yards Trash Talk IPA shows a mostly clear pale golden beneath a generous frothy off white head. Ample sticky lacing. Mild hoppy nose. Moderate bitter presents through a veggie flavor. Healthy carbonation release in sync with a comfortable warm of 6.5%. This brew holds its own vs the big league IPA’s. Semi dry on the finish.

A - Light gold with thin white lacing and low carbonation.
S - Grainy malt aroma with faded citrus.
T - Grainy caramel malt base with faded citrus over top with some pine on the backside. Leaves a sweet residue on the palate.
M - Light medium body with prickly carbonation.
O - Too old, will re-visit.

On tap at The Horse Tavern, Sellersville. PA
Arrived in a 16oz pint glass. A half-finger head. A golden yellow color, Mostly translucent.
Aromas of mango.
A decent IPA. Flavors of citrus, pinnaple and mango with a slightly bitter happiness.
Thinner consistency, mild carbonation.
Overall, a run of the mill IPA. Easy drinking...cheers!

Delivered in a clear Imperial pint glass after drawn from a tap, here at the Yards Brewhouse in Northern Liberties. There's little just-off-white head, as that's the way we pour draft beers in Philadelphia. It's on the light, bright and translucent side for an IPA, light oak-amber in color. It's not particularly aromatic, but there are traces of a lightly malted beer with some hops of a citrus character. It also tastes lightly up front, but there's a nice transition to those citrusy hops as it finishes. The body is smooth and more than adequate for the flavors it brings. There's enough malt to provide a sweeter counterbalance, without overwhelming the overall taste. There's even some nice glass lacing to stare at. Overall it's a solid, if undistinguished American IPA, worthy of a play now and then.
