First had: on cask at Yards Brewing Co., Philly, PA, for their 5th annual Real Ale Fest 2012
This was a special unlabeled wood cask that was not on the list. Poured a medium brown color, translucent with a white ringlet on top. Aroma was pretty subdued, but I picked up notes of German malts, slightly nutty, and some earth hops. Mild taste, robust and nutty, tree bark, black tea, malty but not overly sweet, conservative earthy and herbal hop profiles. Light-medium body, pretty smooth, I'd guess around 4.5-5.5 ABV. Nothing extraordinary here, but certainly a very drinkable brew.
