Can from the Packie
Lightly hazy dark brown with a small short lived bubbly tan head. Fruity caramel prune and raisin with spicy peppery phenols. Bubbly mouthfeel light warming alcohol. Nice sipper.

Explodes to a five+ finger light tan head that fades slowly, leaving traces of lace. Murky brown color. Fierce carbonation and medium bodied. Savory and malty sweet nose, flavor is bready and caramel with hints of pumpkin. Higher ABV, 11%, is hidden. $12.00 for a wax sealed 750ml bottle from Bert's Better Beers Hooksett, NH.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle into a stemmed tulip glass.
Pours a hazy, dirty copper color with 2 fingers of frothy khaki head. The head leaves minimal lacing as it quickly settles into a thin ring.
The aroma brings lots of sweet bread and caramel, as well as some toffee, summer squash, and vanilla. Just a slight hint of booze.
The flavor is straight English toffee, with some caramel, yeast, and sweet dough. There's also a hint of squash and roasted almonds on the finish.
The feel is full bodied with moderate carbonation. Syrupy and sticky, with plenty of alcohol warmth. Still, goes down smooth with a soft chewiness.
Overall, this is a very good and interesting quad. In replace of the typical dark fruit flavors expected of the style are notes of squash and fall spices. This one is strong and boozy and best shared with a friend. I drank it myself because YOLO. Also I have no friends.

On tap at the brewery on November 11, 2017. Just released a day earlier.
It pours a handsome looking medium to dark brown with a slight haze to it. There is a modest cream colored head.
I love the aroma. Loads of sweet Belgian malts, Belgian yeast, crackers, no booze, and a a background of caramelized pumpkins.
The body is full and smooth.
I am getting a bold malty sweet flavor with almost no nutmeg or cinnamon as one might expect with an ale brewed with pumpkins. Slightly more booze in the taste. But it ends smooth and warming. The pumpkin character really balances it off rather than takes it over. This is still a tried and true Quad.
