Can from a lazy dog.
Deep gold in color with a decent sized short lived bubbly white head. Honey like maltiness bits of pitted fruits and a light earthy spiciness to round it out. "When it comes down to making out, whenever possible, put on side one of Led Zeppelin IV."

Overly fizzy and a thin body. Zero head retention. Sure it taste similar to a Belgian Triple, but the overall feel was just "meh".

It's a good time of year for tripels so I picked this one up randomly at the local beer store. Single 16oz can from Prost! in North Hampton, NH, $4.25. No dating or code visible on the can.
I've never heard of the brewery before, but Prost is reliable so giving it a shot. The label describes Kashmir as a Belgian Triple with "generous amounts of organic, hyper-local saffron and bee pollen". I'm generally not a fan of beer (especially traditional styles) with weird stuff in it (e.g. fruit or spices), but this sounds interesting. So I put on the referenced Zeppelin song, pop the refrigerated can, and pour cold into a waiting tulip.
L: Hazy golden honey-colored brew puts up a little bit of white fizz which is gone instantly after a slow pour. Adding more by a heavy pour gets it to stay around for a few seconds but it settles fairly quickly and carbonation sparkles on the flat surface.
S: In the nose I detect notes of honey comb, corriander, banana peel on a bed of light malty sweetness. A tad bit of ethanol develops as it warms but that's not necessarily unwelcome.
T: Upon sipping, the taste matches that first impression pretty well, adding a bit of clove and a fair dose of noble hop which sits on the middle of the tongue and lingers into the finish. The flavor is a drier than the smell but still maybe a tad sweeter than typical.
F: The carbonation level is on point and leaves a little tingle in the back and top of the mouth. However the body is a bit heavier than typical for the style, so overall it comes across a bit flat. I'd like to see a bit more attenuation to dry it out slightly, and maybe back off slightly on the hops, but overall it's quite a tasty brew.
O: Overall it is pretty true to the style and well-executed. That's high praise for a US brewery to achieve for this style. It is not an overly-spiced, americanized/ bastardized version (which is what I often fear in these instances). Well done Litherman's. I'll certainly pick up more of your brews in the future.
