From a wax-topped bottle sampled on June 13, 2021. Acquired at the brewery.
The appearance is a kind of bronze-amber color with a tan head that leaves some nice legs on the glass.
The aroma has an array of sensations including caramel malts, apricot, pear, wood, rye, and a barrel.
Sticky medium mouthfeel. Interesting.
While the taste is malt forward, there is also a honey note to the flavor. And I pick up that 11.5% booze here as well as a bit of the rye. It is strong and warming.
