Stubby brown bottle with a best before date of 8/2012. Split with BA wishuwerebeer. This "type" of beer is a first for me considering it's ingredients. This brew pours a hazed straw yellow color. It is very pale, almost white in color with the carbonation settling and looking more yellow. A finger of white head appears and rapidly dissolves with pops and fizzes.
The smell of this brew is herbal with a pale cereal grain base that includes a light sulfuric touch. There is a tangy smelling inclusion of wheat and rinds that are somewhat grassy to hay or straw-like. Once warm, more sulfur comes out and it gets to be a little stinky.
The taste is cereal grains, wheat, grassy, straw and herbs. Quite grassy with a light sweetness from hay-like grain. The flavor here includes a mild amount of sulfur and a taste of something like c02. The aftertaste is a pleasant blend of herbs, grass, straw and mild residual sweetness almost like corn.
This is a light bodied brew with a fizzy amount of rapidly dissolving carbonation. There is seemingly no alcohol impact in this brew. Quite easy drinking with almost no yeast contribution. This was a first for me and it was enjoyable. The herbal and earthy aspect was subtle yet evident. I wouldn't mind trying more similar brews.

This beer is brewed with hemp and hops. Poured a cloudy golden, with an ample head that stays around awhile. It smells of malt and green grass. I bought it at the Willems Bierhandel in Grobbendonk on a trip to Belgium. I think the taste is delightful, it is moderately hoppy and a little sweet, kind of like Hommelbier, but there is also a hint of tropical fruit, and the hemp flakes give it an even greener dimension. The mouthfeel is full and creamy. This is a really well balanced beer. I was planning to take it home to the states, but I had it the night I was leaving Belgium. Had I known what it tasted like, I would have bought several to take home. I'll definitely look for this the next time.
