John Dough's run-in with Grandma's little darlings didn't quite go as planned. Seems his gingerbread birthday suit and holiday aroma causes kids of all ages to run at him with wide open mouths and screams of glee. We trust this Gingerbread treat will cause you to do the same... his days are numbered!

This one pours a dark, shiny black color. Completely opaque. Two finger sudsy head forms, settles in and then slowly dissolves until just a ring of tan foam remains along the outside of the beer. Aroma has notes of chocolate, gingerbread, gingerbread cookies, light chocolate malts, with a certain sweetness almost coming cross like a gingerbread cookie syrup.
Taste follows the nose with notes of lightly roasted malts, pine, spicy gingerbread, and some light cocoa and coffee notes. It presents like a classic hoppy American IPA - that pine really shows through as a prominent flavor in the profile. The other prominent flavor is obviously the gingerbread. The gingerbread is sweet, but not overly sweet - a bit on the spicy side especially as the beer warms. Feel is medium bodied, prickly carbonation.
Overall this was just ok. Its not bad, but its also not one I would want to drink again.
