Perfect laced head on the pour. Smells grassy, citrus peel, floral, piney, sweet. Taste is REFRESHING, funky hop forward with super clean finish and mild malt kick. Definitely left me wanting another one... and another one... ANNNNDD another one!

Poured from a 16oz can (no date found) to a nonic.
Golden color with slight haze. Frothy beige head with multi-sized bubbles that laces nice. Maybe its the can art , beer name and the brewery name, but the head reminds me of the the foam that sits in a still eddy where the trout like to sit in a decent running river.
Mild aroma, citrus and funk. But the taste is a different story, sweet citrus front, nice bitter middle with that the malt takes it away at the end.
Mouth feel is the story of this one. Not thick but oily and effervescent, really satisfying for an IPA.
Overall- Great beer, but no so great I would seek it out. It could certainly use more nose.

Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a burnt orange/yellow color with a slight transparency about it. Slight carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace. Film of a little white foamy head fell off fairly quick. Some lace. The aroma had some earthy hop spice up front with a citrusy zesty kick, piney hop oils and a bright herbal sweetness to round it all out. Slight woody sweetness at the end. The flavor brought all of those aromas together somewhat nicely - semi-sweet with a slight sweet woody tone to it. Hop oil aftertaste which lead to a sweet hop oily sort of finish. The palate was almost medium bodied with a good sessionability about it. Texture was slick and oily. Carbonation felt fine and the ABV felt as projected. Overall, interesting IPA brought to us by Trout River.

16oz tall-boy can, sample from the brewery.

Faint chill haze on this dull amber hued brew. Decent amount of lacing on top. Smells zesty with some pith, tea, and grass in the back. Lots of hop flavor, bitterness is there and is pretty aggressive but not overboard. Big on the citrus rind flavor, mild tropical fruit with a faint floral alcohol in the back. Love the level of pungency with the hop bitterness here, this is no softie. Left me wanting more.

First of all, love the tribute in the title. Second of all, 007 hops? Say what? First time I've heard of these. Pours a mild golden hue with a thin head into my glass. Mango, grassy citrus and malt in the nose. Decent citrus punch upfront with just a touch of pine. I'm unsure of what exactly to seek out in the 007 hop. Regardless, this is a decent, easygoing IPA.
