16 oz. Can

Slight haze within a golden color. Rocky white foam top holds on tight, chunky lacing.

The hop aroma is candy sweet and very floral, strawberries and whipped cream, pineapple, fruit gummies and sweet citrus. Malt is grainy and creamy, golden wheat and cream ale scented.

The flavor also has an abundance of candy style fruits, like gummies and sweet tarts. Tropical fruits, both sweet and bitter aspects. The slight bitter edge is earthy and grainy, but the malt balances that out with creamy golden grains, sharp edges of earthiness and then a long and smooth creamy center in both feel and flavor. Sweet n sour hops has a very interesting finish and aftertaste.

Mouthfeel seems light and crispy at first until the soft, smooth creamy feel rides in! Lush and plush.

Overall, a very interesting hybrid of a straight AIPA and NEIPA. This IPA has some very unique hop tones and rather excellent, luxury sedan style mouthfeel.

From the 16 oz. can with no canned or best by date. Sampled on January 1, 2019.

The appearance is mainly a cloudy amber-yellow color with a big white head that laces as it fades.

The aroma emits characters of citrus right off along with orange, tangerine, or nectarine. Overall clean. Low hop profile.

The mouthfeel is smooth and around medium. Chewy maybe.

The taste is bright and fruity - that's the best description despite all the other characters. Clean finish. Mild bitterness. Generally a decent beer.

Tall can that a friend brought down from the green Mountain state. No dating info to be had on the can.

Lifts a HUGE off white cap, that takes a while to cool out...when it does, this is a super hazed up offering, light, yellow squash soup in color.

Bright lemony and tropical fruit nose.

A bit prickly in the mouth and as it crosses the tongue, with evident carbonation.

Smooth and tasty, def seems to be a bit over carbonated, but each pour becomes more and more clam and enjoyable...flavorful, yeasty, fruity, compex and worthy.

16 oz can picked up at beverage warehouse in Burlington VT on beer turn and burn trip. The name caught my eye being fishing related.
A: pours a +1 finger white frothy foam head that quickly fades, hazy milky cloudy golden body
S: sweet tropical fruit, mango, fresh citrus, lemon, malty, pine resin
M: medium thick body
T: tropical fruit up front, then malt begins to build, hop bitterness, pine resin, cracker, slight funk, finish is slightly mineral
O: good NE DIPA

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a thick pale yellow-ed wood color with a quarter finger's worth of white foamy head that dissipated fairly slow to leave some cake-like filmy foamy lace.
The aroma had some orange sweetness, touch of marmalade then some doughiness. Light lemon cake, pineapple, honey, sweet pine and ending with a touch of floral character.
The flavor yields to the sweetness of the blend of it all. It's a bit of a marmalade pineapple to honey to sweet pine and lemon cake mixture. Honey hits again, slightly. Mild aftertaste of bitter yet juicy hops pushing some of that sweetness back a bit more.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Yes, this one is fairly sweet in the aroma and flavor but has a substantial clingy hop bitterness emphasizing enough IPA character on my tongue. Low carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Mild orange marmalade-like finish, some bitterness.
Overall, fabulous beer and somewhat reminded me of an aged Heady. I'd have again.

From a 16oz can, undated. Served in an imperial pint pub glass.

Pours a cloudily translucent pineapple-orange with a big three-finger head of soft, fluffy, creamy cream-coloured head. Retention is exceptional, leaving scattered gobs of lacing.

Medium nose of sweet pineapple juice and soft, sweet, bready malt.

Taste follows the nose, eerily so, in that it actually tastes like pineapple juice and vanilla birthday cake. I've read the label twice and there is no indication that there are any adjuncts like lactose, pineapple and vanilla but this puppy tastes more like a milkshake IPA than most actual milkshake IPA's I've had. Amazing what you can do with hops, in'it? Anyway. Enough of that. There is bitterness, too, mild but undeniable.

Feel is silky smooth and creamy like whipped cream is creamy. Doughy, medium-thick bodied and not a bubble more carbonation than is called for.

Big fat juicy creamy doughy NEIPA. Overall, wow, that was way more than what I was expecting. My buddy at the beer store just sort of shrugged when I picked up the can so I didn't have my hopes up. Now I'm wishing I'd gotten more.

Capitalizing on the hoppy momentum in the New England region, the Trout River Brewing Company roll out an angry IPA. With the promise of citrus and melon, their hazy IPA turns out quite pleasant instead.

An oddly colored burnish beige and sepia golden opaqueness catches the eye while its building ivory froth reveals an aromatic display of those promised citrus notes with a hint of tropical fruit, stone fruit and faint botanicals. Sweet and bready on the tongue, the beer's introductions in taste brings a sense of croissant and honey.

As the malt sweetness stews on the middle palate, the hops slowly glide over the grains and bring the citrusy taste of orange, pink grapefruit and a kiss of lime. Mango, papaya and apricot show the way for those tropical and stone fruit flavors before a gripping bitterness of freshly shaven pine, fresh cut grass and black tea show as much of a west coast character than the smooth finish that we've grown accustomed to in New England styled IPA.

Medium bodied and drying quickly, the beer's juicy character releases and a resinous, spicy and pleasantly grassy balance assists the dryness as a long hoppy taste of juniper, peppery and gin plays out strongly in aftertaste.
