I get that this is a sessions beer. Possibly my first and last as I honestly didn’t think it had much flavor. Similar to a watered down Coors IMO. Pours a bit dark with a reasonable amount of head. Drank 32 ounces in about an hour and didn’t feel a thing - so it definitely works as a sessions beers if that’s what your looking for.

Hoping this style gets revived! In my opinion, it's very needed in this day and age.
This was poured into an English pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking dark amber to almost brown color with a small cap of a little off white foamy head swiftly dissipating to leave some semi-filmy lace.
The aroma had a nice sweet to roasty nutty character playing with some plums then grassy hops.
The flavor moderately leads a meshing of sweet to toasty nutty to bready and plum-like quality rolling into dried sweet woodiness. The aftertaste seems to lead with more of a dark fruity/fig-like quality with a touch of cocoa powder.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a wonderful sessionability about it. But then again, the purpose of this style defines "sessiomability." Carbonation seemed where it should be. ABV felt appropriate. Slight finish of nuts, cocoa powder and grassy hops.
Overall, as an English dark mild ale, this definitely works. I'd have again. Pass the fish'n'chips.

Can. Dark amber with lasting head and some lace. Fruity fig and plummy with spicy bitterness. Let it warm up a bit to get the pleasant sweetness. Light body. Pretty good.
