A: Pours a clear deep copper-ish amber in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass with moderate deep garnet red colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall sudsy foamy dark beige head that quickly reduces to a couple of small patches of thin film surrounded by a large patch of very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Just shy of moderate aromas of spicy, pine, herbal, and citrus/grapefruit pith hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of caramel, toasted, and biscuit malts with a hint of sweetness.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of biscuit, toasted, and caramel malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by moderate flavors of spicy, pine, herbal, and citrus/grapefruit pith hops which impart a light to moderate amount of bitterness which slowly fades away.
M: Slightly heavier than medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Hints of dryness in the finish.
O: Solid more old school style East Coast IPA - strong malt backbone with more bitter than aromatic hop presence. Easy to drink but probably not one that I will be searching out again.

Appearance: Pours from the pint can a dense, semi-cloudy amber, with a average head of off-white suds. Light but attractive lace.
Aroma: Piney hops. Not bad.
Taste: Packs a fruity and spicy hop flavor, with plenty of pine in there. Nice bitter finish. A solid and enjoyable IPA, and a good representative of the classic American IPA before it got hijacked by West Coast hop bombs and tropical fruit-infused soft IPAs.
