Poured into a Nonic.
Pours clear and amber with a nice foamy, clingy head, decent retention, and excellent lacing.
Slightly toasty caramel malt aromas with plenty of grass and resin to offset the sweetness.
The flavors are similar but just a bit too modest. Initial sweetness gives way to biscuity middle notes and solid resin hopping at the finish. Just a bit of warming booze there as well. Everything is well balanced.
Medium bodied and drying at the finish.
A solid red/amber IPA. A little more flavor would be nice, but everything comes together well.
