Pint pour on draught at the brewery. Served in a snulip glass. It’s an attractive pour: a hazy, honey-orange color with a robust, foamy, eggshell-colored head and thick, soapy lacing. Its nose features pineapple, tangerine, and bright floral hops. The taste includes tart grapefruit and lemon, sticky tangerine and stone fruit, grass, and herbs. The Palisade and Comet hops compliment each other well. The Simcoe adds resinous pine sap and lots of bitterness. This ale is medium-bodied and well-carbonated, and while the 7.8% ABV gives it good substance it’s highly drinkable. Overall, Whistlin’ Kitty Chaser is an impressive DIPA. The hop bill is unique and it is tasty and satisfying.
