Pours a dark brown coloration with a small, fizzy head. Smells of roasted malt, with some faint chocolate, coffee notes and hints of herbal hops. Tastes of roasted, just slightly caramelly malts and light chocolate and coffee notes, as well as some herbal, bitter hops and hints of licorice. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some roasted malt, coffee and licorice lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium bodyand carbonation.
This is quite a nice, solid Stout that is dominated by roasted malt, coffee and bitter, herbal hops, with some nice, although not too pronounced, chocolate and licorice notes as well. Perhaps just a tad thin, but really not too bad. Almost feels more like a Porter, but still quite nice all in all.
