Moderate head but it leaves plenty of lace. Deep dark brown where no light shines through.
Dark, coffee bean smell. No sweetness, no cream.
Straight up coffee flavor. Relatively thin but with a muted carbonation level. Bitter, but it's from the burnt patent malt. I'd love to try this against Guinness and Beamish. I think it leans toward the harsher (Beamish).
