Dunkelweizen is kind of a mash-up or crossover style between a dunkel and a hefeweizen: a dunkelweizen! This beer has a solid malty character, with the traditional yeast giving it tasting notes of banana runts, clove, and light bubblegum. At the back end, the malty notes might give you some light chocolate, right before you go back for another sip.

Hazy brown. Light passes easily through the center of the glass. Lasting rim bubbles but no lace.
Plenty of cocoa to the nose.
Very chocolatey -- semisweet. Thin bodied with ample carbonation, true to the style. Decent wheat presence. Short aftertaste.
