Acquired a can in a trade - brewed by Geary's for Bear Bones. Didn't know what to expect from a Double Cream Ale but was definitely pleased with the product. Plenty of body thanks to the relatively high ABV and a somewhat unique taste. I don't know where Bear Bones is distributed but I'll look for it on my next trip to Maine.

Pint on draft at Great Lost Bear.
Appearance: Bright, somewhat cloudy straw gold with no head.
Aroma: Grass, some grapey note, hay, malt sweetness. Very clean.
Taste: Somewhat vinous, with some malt sweetness. Pleasant. Not overly complex.
Mouthfeel: Booze really finds you with this beer. You don’t notice it, but it notices you. Very drinkable, but then you know it’s a 7+ ABV.
Overall: Nice effort by this little brewery. I’ll ty more from them!

Taste of corn. Staying sweet.

I have been an avid beer drinker discovering the crafts and local brews over the past 10 years. This particular beer is 2nd on my all time list only behind a beer I had at ommegang brewery in Cooperstown N.Y. the double cream is not traditional as it is inspired by a bourbon with a smoothness of taste that stays on the tongue. It's subtle and for over 7% abv extremely light. I ended up buying 2 growlers at this nano brewery just so I could keep some of this beer at home.
