Our New England IPA is a smooth, silky, classic hazy IPA which is soon to be a hit for everyone who tries it. It reminds us of a young lady who once graced our stage and went on to take on the world, It only seems fitting to name it Patsy- cheers!

On tap at PB Dye Golf Club in Ijamsville, MD.
This one pours a very hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells kind of doughy, with honey, maltiness, pineapple candy, and bubblegum.
This is a little too sweet, even for the style, with basically no bitterness, and a bit of flabby and messy feel to it overall. It feels muddled, with just like honey and syrupy sweetness.
This isn’t undrinkable any means, but it’s not the most enjoyable pour you’ll have.
This was a very forgettable IPA. It wasn’t bad enough to be memorable simply for that, but it was nowhere near good enough to be memorable either.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours hazy orange yellow with a fluffy white head. Smells of citrus hops with slight tropical notes. Tastes of sweet grain with very nice array of citrus and tropical fruit hops with just a hint of earthiness. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

Named for Patsy Cline, which I approve wholeheartedly. Poured from undated can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. It pours a cloudy, golden-honey color with a large, fluffy, bright white head and thick, soapy lacing. The floral nose features lemon peel, tangerine, pineapple, and light hops. It opens with a lot of citrus: lemon, pineapple, and tangerine; very pleasant. There follows a wash of bitter, biting hops. I checked both the can and the website and the hop bill is not listed. But it finishes decidedly bitter. It has a full, rich mouth feel with a pleasant level of carbonation, and in this day and age the 6.7% ABV is pretty tame. Overall, while I wasn't expecting much this is an easy drinking, pleasant American IPA. The website describes it a a New England IPA, which I think is misplaced. Nonetheless, while there are many better American IPAs on the market, for a local brewer The Patsy is pretty good.
