I'll have to admit that the quality of my judging decreases when taking live samples from an active brewpub. Too many distractions, esp. for aroma.
A decent looking beer with a tan head and good lacing. Black color with red/mahogany hues and clear. Aroma was malty sweet with chocolatey accents. Taste was quite sweet with complex qualities, including chocolate/coffee esp. on the finish, with caramel hints preceding that. Somewhat fruity (dark berry like). Some thickness to the mouthfeel, esp. on the finish. A decent overall beer. One of the better from this pub. Probably a little too fruity for style, but tastey nonetheless.
