Heritage is a pale golden German lager with a slightly sweet bread and honey malt character that starts in the aroma and lasts all the way through the finish. This beer’s grain bill consists mostly of a specially imported Bavarian barley that Epiphany has masterfully malted into the perfect pilsner malt in their state of the art 10-ton malting facility. Epiphany is a science-focused malting operation in Durham North Carolina, who works directly with farmers to select regional grains grown especially for their qualities in germination.

From: Straight from the source, also canned.
A classic-looking helles with a lovely golden pour and foamy head. Bready, grahmy, but still extremely crisp, all of what a wonderful helles should be; plenty of lightness to support multiple returns.
Long story short: the best American helles I've had, comparing it overall only to Augustiner and the like in Germany.
I enjoyed it so much I purchased crates upon crates to take to my wedding in 2022. Worth the trip, and should be a year-rounder in the permanent rotation.
Klassik.

12 ounce can - $2.29 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
"Lager Responsibly 05/28/21"
Appearance: Pours a hazy, bronze-gold body with a quickly disappearing, whitish head.
Smell: You're greeted by a big, buttery whiff.
Taste: Sweet, honeyish, but it quickly shifts to that heavy diacetyl flavor.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Yipes. Though Heritage may have their creed "Lager Responsibly" fired onto the bottom of the can, the big blast of buttery diacetyl implies only irresponsibility and negligence.

Appearance: Clear gold, with white fluffy head, good retention.
Aroma: Bready
Flavor & Aftertaste: Sweet malt backbone, bready - maybe light toast & spicy with notes of honey. Restrained bitterness. Nice depth to the malt flavor.
Palate: Medium body, lightly carbonated. Moderate length finish that is crisp & clean.
Overall: Very well crafted Helles style. Malt forward with nice depth to it - bready & light toast. Honey like sweet, but not cloying. Spicy hops vaguely present in aroma and flavor. Medium body. Finishes expertly crisp & clean. Arches nails the style box with this Helles. It rivals any of the German imports. Very pleasant and enjoyable to drink. Will leave you wanting another.
