Deeply rooted in legends and religion of India, the Banyan tree is a source of strength, longevity and security. As with the mighty banyan, our Double India Pale Ale starts with a rich, malty foundation followed by bold hopwith crisp, long bitter/sweet finish with hints of citrus, grapefruit and pine flavors.

Pours a sem clear dark amver with soft head.
Smell is fruity and a bit sweet with notes of grapefruit, pine, green tea and caramel.
Taste is fruity and a bit sweet with a powerful bitterness. Notes of grapefruit, pine, caramel, peach and black tea.
Mouthfeel is edium, soft and sticky with good carbonation.
Overall, a really nice west coast DIPA that hides its ABV very well.

12 oz cans (multiple days) from near the brewery in Georgia, served in a lager glass. There's an illegible date stamp on the bottom of the can.
Pours with a hazy copper colored body with a very good beige head.
The appearance suggests a generous male load and neither the aroma nor the flavor disappoint in this regard. Moderately hoppy for the style with an earthy-spicy-piney flavor profile. Low bitterness for a DIPA until the aftertaste.
Feel. Smooth, full body with near medium carbonation.

Beautiful cloudy orange-brown color. Rich balanced flavor. A little over hopped finish solved completely by having another drink.

Served in a 13 oz. tulip glass at Marlowes Tavern in Cumming, GA, this beer is an unfiltered imperial IPA, light amber-orange color, and a nice rich head. The aroma was "juicy" with notes of citrus and fruit, and subtle herbal notes. The initial taste was surprisingly malty, yet crisp, and quickly balanced out with the bitterness from the hops, and continued with notes of fruit, citrus, and slight pine, with a very clean finish, belying its 9% ABV. Rich in body, and highly drinkable at the same time.

Had this DIPA on tap at The BlueOtter in Hiawassee Ga. Before dinner it was a pleasure to sip by itself very drinkable light on its feet for a double and easy drinking for 9% could definately get oneself in trouble with this one. I liked it well enough to have another with dinner it held up really nice with the food also .good Ga. brew. Would try it again for sure.Nice job Left Nut Brewing !

I had this on draught in a pub in Gainesville, GA. Served in a tulip glass. It pours a hazy orange-brown color with a one-finger, milk-white head and lacing. The smell was somewhat subdued because of the temperature at which it was served but I noticed sweet malt, tropical fruit, and floral hops. The initial taste was the sweet malt, followed by grapefruit and a sweet darker fruit, perhaps plum. Then the hoppy bitterness kicked in. There was a noticeable alcohol burn. This ale is medium bodied, moderately carbonated, and its 9% ABV was evident. Overall, this is a very nice malty IPA. I particularly enjoyed the fruit taste. Left Nut is a relative new brewery and they are off to a great start with this tasty IPA.
