It pours an opaque black with tan head. The aroma is dried fruit and oak/vanilla with a hint of toast and roasted malt.
The flavor holds incredible layered malt complexity with assertive hop bitterness that is perfectly in balance with the strong malt profile. It's not cloying, it's not syrupy, it's just a masterpiece of "easy to sip" while still being interesting.
This is an incredibly well made beer and the one I always buy a few of when I'm at LNB.

From a cask at the January 2019 Atlanta Cask Ale Tasting (ACAT).
Dark reddish brown body that is nearly opaque with a weak bubbly tan head.
Appealing and sweet aroma that is distinct and complex.
More richness and complexity in the flavor which has a pronounced bourbon and bourbon barrel aspect. Relatively neutral, bitter-sweet balance.
