A traditional Bavarian-style wheat beer, it is a unique unfiltered golden beer with both a fruity and spicy flavor profile derived from the traditional Bavarian yeast strain that is used. It has a low hop bitterness yet is big on flavor.

American Wheat Glass
Look: Slightly cloudy straw yellow color, pouring a 1.5 finger head which dissipated into a thick ring w/ little to none lacing
Smell: raw dough, and lots of yeast. Light hint of citrus
Taste: Raw wheat and some citrusy hops. Yeast funk is very present as well. Clean finish
Feel: Gentle carbonation and a light-mod body. Crisp finish

Canned 5/01/20
Pours a med fizzy almost 1 finger head with lower retention, fairly hazy light pale straw color
Nose light doughy wheat, straw notes, some fruity esters as well as a little bubblegum (more witbier style) , but also some banana (more hefe like), a hint of peppery phenols that my brain almost took as solventy glue note but I don't really get that,
Taste more creamy doughy wheat, almost porridge level, grainy and straw, then banana, lots of banana character, faint peppery phenols, a touch of the bubblegum ester, and mild generic fruity ester notes, a little vanilla cream or vanilla cake batter, a touch of fruity sweet candy like skittles, drier finish, light bitterness, quick finish without much lingering
Mouth is med to lighter bod, a touch creamy soft, carbonation is strange because it feels low but at the same time it's quite prickly
Overall an interesting hefe, not bad, but a few things that could make it better

This is terrible. I wish I could say something nicer. Just way off the mark for a hefe. For starters, absolutely no head whatsoever. Tastes more like a bad Helles with some apples thrown in it. Usually with a hefe you get the cliche banana bread, clove, or bubble gum, but for me, it was apples. Far too sweet. What yeast was used?! Doesn't taste like any tradition Bavarian yeast or WPL300. Also, hard to call it unfiltered let alone traditional when there's no yeast to be found! Makes the Two Roads "No Limits" look good, which is saying a lot.

Dated 7/11/19 on the bottom, 4 weeks since canning.
Pours an unflitered dark straw with a finger and a half of quickly dissipating white head. Nose of over-ripened banana, light clove, distant pepper, wheat and a tart yeastiness. Taste follows the nose with yeasty wheat and over-ripened banana, almost "banana flavoring" tasting. Not getting any big clove, pepper or coriander out of it, just a slight spiciness on the edges. Medium- body with low carbonation, slightly watery body body. Low tartness. At the end of this brew my big takeaways were wheat, yeast and sour banana candy. This makes me wish I had a Weihenstephaner Hef and that's a shelfie.

Poured into a weizen glass. The appearance was a soft hazy burnt yellow to orange color. For a hefeweizen, I was a bit disappointed with lack of big fluffy white head that normally exists for the style. Still, the smell grabs the normal flavors of a hefeweizen - banana esters, delicate clove and sly malted wheat underneath. The flavor is basically the same with a lingering sharp malty wheat aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionable feel to it. Carbonation seems to hit appropriately but the clove does hit a bit more than expected. Overall, for the most part, it’s good. I’m surprised that aromas came out as they did with lack of head. But, I’m not going to be too hard on this despite appearance. Somehow, aromas and flavor seems to be on par.

Had on tap at the restaurant, served in the 8 beer sampler. The beer had a murky, pale yellow appearance with a mixture of bready wheat and citrus aromas. The taste was a bit muted as a citrus flavor was apparent, but a little thin. The mouthfeel, however, was quite good and it gave the beer a nice creamy carbonation. Overall, this beer was ok and its best feature was the mouthfeel.

16oz can from Bert's
Hazy light yellow with a stingy white head. Spicy earthy sweet bready aromas, some clove some banana. Sweet bready maltiness with a hint of spice, clove and light banana yeasty flavors, little to no hop flavor or bitterness. Pretty easy to drink no flaws, but just a bit uninspiring.
