A hefty lager brewed with a decoction mash. Deep bronze in color, medium bitterness with a bigger emphasis on malt than the Mai Bock.

Dark chestnut, clear, with a medium bone head.
Toasted dark breads in the nose with some residual malt sugars.
A mild biscuit note mingling with alcohol rounds out the aromatics.
Body on the thick side of medium, a bit sticky and chewy.
Carbonation right on.
Pallet starts slightly sweet and doughy, continues with hints of roast and a fairly large caramel component. Bitterness well placed, firm but not overbearing. Minimal fruitiness, pretty clean and staightforward, and nods to Dopplebocks and Scotch Ales.
Largish for the average bock, and thats ok by me.
Finishes with bitter caramel and quite malty.
