Brewed as a one-off for a wedding back in November.
Pours clear, dark copper with a full, substantial off-white head.
Nutty and phenolic nose with bits of cocoa and bananna.
A pleasant dougyness is marred by some medicinal notes.
Body is thinnish and on the crisp side.
Bitterness right out the gate on the pallet, followed by some mild chocolate, nuts, and peppercorns.
A bit muddy in the middle and bitter througout.
Finishes long and bitter.
Not a ton of dubble character here, more akin to a dark belgian pale.
Styrian goldings?
