Pulled from a tap into a pint glass a thick, coffee-black, crowned with a foamy off-white head. Deep notes of chocolate and French-roast coffee. The taste reflected this, with a bit too much bitterness. The feel was bubbly with moderate carbonation, and thick. The slight booziness of this stout warmed to the core, making it a good choice after being out in the snow.

Had on tap at Moat Mountain and served from the 8 beer sampler. The beer had a nice black appearance with some chocolate color lacing. The aromas included a spiced chocolate malt smell while the taste followed the nose with a bittersweet cocoa taste. The mouthfeel of the beer was a creamy texture. Overall, this beer had a great look and mouthfeel.

Pours black with 1/4" tan head. Aroma is smoke and molasses. Taste is smoky and sweet. Feel is good for an export Stout. Overall its an excellent stout, definitely try.
