Pours a dark copper color with just a bit of light tan colored head on top. Aroma was mildly sweet with a bit of hop bite. Not much picked up from the rye at first but it becomes more noticeable as the beer warms.
Well-balanced on the palate. A bit of a bready grain character with some light caramel sweetness from the malts. Hops add a slight citrus and fruity touch and a healthy dose of bitterness in the end.
Mouthfeel is rather light but crisp and dry. Overall, a very enjoyable rye beer from the Moat. Well balanced and very tasty... looking forward to having this again.
