The Schützenhaus is a nice little brewput in a nice little town in the Emme valley (home of Emmentaler - a.k.a. "Swiss" - cheese). It has a pleasant restaurant and bar area on the ground floor, a disco on the second floor, and two nice outdoor patios, one of which features free big screen movies during the summer. They always have two beers on tap - their very smooth, utterly dependable lager, and a seasonal brew. Of the seasonals, the Osterbock and the Christmas beer are the best. All are of consistently high quality, if not the greatest imagination. The food is typical Germanic Swiss fare, with the unlikely addition of the best hamburgers around. Service can be slow.
