Solid malt backbone stands up to the significant citrus-driven hop flavour and aroma.

Purchased from Liquorland in Waurn Ponds in November 2023 and drunk a week later.
L: Dark yellow/amber with a bright white, long-lasting head that leaves plenty of lacing. Lots of carbonation streams up the middle of the glass. Very pretty!
S: Very fruity and dank, with the malt body clearly evident from the nose alone. This smells like an old-skool IPA.
T: The beer has a big caramel malt backbone and a smack in the face of dank and fruit-laden hops. The bitterness is firm and lingers on the tongue long after swallowing. This is a great throwback West Coast IPA.
M: Carbonation is moderate, and carbonic prickle is high, but it helps deal with the bitterness and strong caramel backbone. As a result, it's very nicely balanced in the mouth.
O: A very enjoyable, bitter, caramelly IPA, like they used to make back in the good ol' days!
Cheers!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
