Inspired by the heavy hitting waves at Puerto Escondido, this monstrous margarita sour can knock you straight back to the beach.
Infused with lime, lime zest, agave, tequila-aged oak and a splash of sea water!
The Mexican Pipeline of Imperial Sours.
Tart, Limey with a hint of salt, oak and tequila.

A farewell present from my previous job in June 2023 (thanks, Jayde, though I know you'll never read this!). Drunk in December of that year.
L: Deep golden yellow with utterly no head. Small amounts of large, fast-moving bubbles hustle up the glass.
S: Smells just like a margarita and Mexican restaurant rolled into one! This Margarita is lime-based, so it has that slightly artificial lime note you get with margarita mix, but it also has that spritzy, Mexican spice quality. It actually smells intriguing!
T: The taste profile backs up the nose brilliantly. If I were drinking this blindfolded, I would have said this was a Margarita, so well does it evoke that classic cocktail. There's a touch of saltiness to it, and, reading the can, it says the beer has seawater added, so the mystery is solved. It's tart, tastes nothing like a beer, and leaves me salivating after every sip. I love it!
M: Mouthfeel is sharp and jagged, as sours should be. Carbonation and carbonic prickle are medium-high and set just right for the beer. This one would go down dangerously quickly on a hot day.
O: I don't like sours. I've said that many times before. I'm usually proven right, but like that one good golf shot per round, there's always one annoying beer that keeps me coming back to sours to see if I like them. This is one such beer, and if ever I'm looking for a gateway beer for the non-beer-drinker, I could do worse than offering up this one.
Cheers!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
