Fruity, sour, refreshing like diving off your surfboard at Rincon on a Summer's day.
Kettle soured with lactobacillus gives a refreshing citrus sourness which accentuates the tartness of a heap of raspberries added to the fermenter.

Purchased at Liquorland, Waurn Ponds, in October 2023 and drunk in February 2024.
L: Looks like apple and blackcurrant juice. The head that is formed by the pour dissipates immediately, leaving not even a thing covering of head , but instead, a constant stream of bubbles leaves the surface a lively roil of motion, almost like a pour of soft drink (soda).
S: The aroma is strongly sour raspberry and mixed berries. There is no malt body on the nose at all, but as a sour, it hits the mark.
T: The beer is bracingly tart in the mouth, with a strong raspberry and blackcurrant vibe. The malt body is noticeable retronasally, making the beer a weirdly mixed bag of sour and malt at that point, with neither profile coming out on top. To my mind, it doesn't work.
M: Bracingly tart at first, the beer certainly leaves me salivating after each mouthful. The body is quite smooth, and carbonation is low, both of which I was not expecting based on the visuals. To top it off, the beer became noticeably flat within ten minutes of opening.
O: This is a miss for mine. The malt note that appears at the end of the swallow clashes with the tartness of the raspberry, making this a muddled beer that became something of a chore to get through.
Cheers!
