Possibly beer in its purest form, light cracker with a hint of sweetness from 100% pilsner malt grain bill, assertive bitterness and classic herbal flavour and aroma from multiple additions of Saaz hops throughout the boil. Crisp, dry, refreshing finish.

Purchased at Bells Beach Brewery's Geelong bar in March 2024. Drunk in July that year.
L: Clear, golden yellow with a thin, bright white head. There's lots of carbonation in the glass.
S: Slightly soapy, floral hops.
T: Surprisingly bitter with a harsh grapefruit peel note coming in after the initial florally bitter hit. The bitterness lingers retronasally, too. No hint of a bready malt base under the hops.
M: Carbonation is restrained, and the carbonic bite is minimal. The mouthfeel is quite sherbetty, particularly after the swallow.
O: While this is a nice enough beer, the grapefruit-peel bitterness coming on the heels of a floral bitter note is quite jarring and detracts somewhat from the enjoyment of the beer.
Cheers

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
