Rip Rap Brewing Co. "Middle Ground"
on tap at the brewery on 17 June 2017
$3.50 / 1/2 pint
Notes: English-style mild ale at 4.5% ABV. 18 IBUs. Deep copper / Russet brown body beneath a short head of white that drops immediately and leaves no lacing. Aroma: toasty, grainy, sweet bread, medium caramel. The flavor is richer than suggested. Malty sweet. Fruity notes of apple & pear. Minor leafy & grassy hops. Clean. Smooth, soft carbonation and medium body. Overall a very clean, American version of an English mild with more malt than is usually characteristic, but OK. Pleasant and enjoyable. Very drinkable.

Poured a pale, orange body with minimal head and lace. The aroma has these faint aromas of caramel, toffee, and bitter hops in the background. Sweet and medium-bodied beer that has a caramel/toffee almost honey like sweetness and then touches of bread and bitter hops on the backend although finishes sweet. A mild (no pun intended) and sweet beer that is easy to relax with.
