$3.99 for a 6 pack at Grocery Outlet. Not horrible, but just barely worthwhile, even considering the price. Would I buy it again? Only if it were being drank by someone else who wasn't picky.
Looks fine. Color is between a mexican amber and a pale lager. Not much head, but decent amount of lacing.
Smells like a cheap amber lager. Not particularly Mexican, nor hoppy. Doesn't smell at all like a pilsner. Notes of whole wheat bread, molasses, and a touch of acidic instant coffee. Slightly metallic, like the Dos Equis Amber.
Tastes pretty similar to that beer as well. Not undrinkable in my opinion, but nearly so.
At least it goes down pretty easy and doesn't leave much of an aftertaste. It has some stale bread crust notes, but not as strongly as Trader Joe's Drive-Thru Red.
Not great; not terrible. Mr. Oblivious, if you read this, I understand you thinking this is decent as a novice. No shade. 45/100.

$4/six pack on clearance at Grocery outlet—well worth the price! German Pilsner style, IMHO. Rich golden color, fairly light head. Slight scent, almost fruity. Clean, earthy taste, with just a touch of sweetness, followed by a moderately strong hoppy bite. Felt good, neither too thin or syrupy, with fairly light carbonation. I’m still a novice at this, and look forward to comparing my observations of more experienced folks.
