This is a 1 L growler purchased at the Manteo location. It is cold.
A: Darker yellow color, more like goldenrod. Small head and little retention.
S: The aroma is all cereal malt with no hops.
T: The taste has a small hop bitterness but is mostly malts. Those malts are grainy and thin, adding little in the way of flavor beyond the malts. I was hoping for a more pronounced dry hop flavor.
M: The mouthfeel is average at best, as nothing really jumps out at the drinker.
D: Inoffensive enough that a few pints could easily be consumed, but there are better representatives of the style out there.

1 liter swingtop bottle from the brewery, unpasteurized. It's pretty dark for a kölsch - chestnut with medium carbonation and 2 fingers of off-white head that leave good lacing. The aroma is sweet, soft, and buttery with toasty/caramelly malts, green hops, and a light nutty/earthy character. It tastes buttery with a mild bitterness from the leafy/green hops on top of a body that is medium to thick and lightly drying, with low carbonation and a medium finish. Not too bad, plus it's nice getting fresh, unpasteurized beer straight from the brewery.

Note: This was the first beer produced at the new brewery
Appearance: Arrives at the table with a clear golden color and a decent head that leaves splashy lacing
Smell: Very grainy aroma
Taste: What you smell is what you get as the grainy aroma translates to the tongue; the finish is rather harsh, but the beer is young as it was rushed out to be available for the brewery's anniversary celebration a week earlier
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation
Drinkability: The best of the beers I tasted at the Weeping Radish; slightly marred by the harsh finish but on the right track

This is the summer offering and boy am I glad I had this. I think this was Weeping Radish's best brew during my stay in OBX. Clear yellow in color with a thick 2" head. Nice lacing develops during the drink. The aroma was of lemon, grass, and sharp hops. The flavor followed the nose as a grassy maltiness was well balanced with some lemon and laid back bitterness, which surprised me since the hops were very evident in the nose.
Light in body. Very crisp at the start and finishes crisp, clean, and refreshing. Outstanding drinkability, I could have had pints all day.
