maybe the best feature of this one is how well it hides its alcohol strength. for being over 9% abv, its really disguised, not hot at all, even as the temperature comes up. its also quite a bit drier than is normal, i usually find these very sweet, but this has a lighter body and a lot less residual sugar. still flavorful on the grain base, a light honey note, floral and spicy belgian yeast, hints of red apple and white grape, a very neat but also delicate flavor profile, more mild and definitely more easy drinking than the famous examples of the style from the old world. carbonation could use a little boost, this one isnt as lively as their other belgian types. there is also a nice grassy hop element in the finish that adds another layer. nice to have some bitterness in one of these. overall a rather enjoyable beer, kind of a summery take on the tripel style, less body and a lighter yeast flavor. i thought the belgian styles were the best of the beers at inbound, although they are still very new and appear well equipped to improve the whole lot as things move along. i liked it here, go check it out.

Had on tap at the brewery. L: Bright gold with a light orange tint under a thin cream colored foam cap. S: Spice, light fruit, honey, dark sugars T: Has a fruity, spicy, slightly sweet palate with traces of toffee and a mild balancing bitterness. F: Medium body and medium low carbonation. O: A pretty good tripel.
