German style, refreshing lightness. Bright honey and grain malt notes. Crisp hop balance with subtle lemon-herbal and floral aromas from Hallertau Mittelfruh hops. Its sweet loon call sings *pew pew* like the siren of Minnesota's lakes.

Pale yellow-gold color. Clear, lightly carbonated body. 1 inch white head that fades fairly quickly to a foamy cap, leaving spotty lacing.
The aroma is, first, bready malts with a subdued fruity aroma as well.
The flavor is very light. Some fruity flavors, some bready flavors, but it is so light it is hard to be very descriptive. There is a mild bitterness that starts in the middle and carries through to the aftertaste. The aftertaste is dominated by the light bitterness rather than flavors from the beer. Don’t misunderstand: the aftertaste is dominated by the light bitterness due to the near absence of flavor, not because this is a bitter beer; it isn’t. It just isn’t much of anything to be honest.
Mouth feel is thin and watery.
Overall, this beer is watery with little flavor. This beer is more of a light lager than a kölsch.

Appearance: Pours a clear, light and completely pale golden color with a bubblign body. A strong white head. SRM of 7. (4.25)
Aroma: Moderate aromas of vinous grape and tart fruti upfront. Some tart yeast. Then aromas of bread malts . This is followed by some buttery and creamy vinous notes. Some honey, buttery grape and yeast aromas. (4.00)
Flavor: Moderate flavors of grape, apples, wine upfront. Some tart yeast. Authentic flavors of yeast and fruit. This follows into a light grape and vinous note. Then there is a smooth bread and slightly sweet buttery, cream, and vinous flavor on the finish. German bread malts, honey and vinous flavors on the finish. Mildly sweet with honey. Definitely tart, but also creamy notes in here. (4.25)
Feel: Light to medium bodied. Moderate carbonation, but also finishes smooth with some lingering vinous sweetness. Sort of flat would be a criticism. (3.50)
Compared to Josephsbrau Summerbrew 7/30/21: Pours a lighter color. More vinous grape and bread malt. Less plastic flavors. Lighter and smoother.
Compared to Paulaner Premium Pils 8/22/21: Pours an identical color with a milder head. More fruity.
Compared to Summit Keller Pils 9/19/21: Pours a similar color. More apple, grape, orchardfruit. Less dry lemongrass, flower, and yeast. Creamier and sweeter.
Overall: An outright excellent Kolsch here for 4.3%. This one nails the vinous flavors, yeast, with some tarntess. Yet, it has a nice and smooth bread malt. All while carrying a light body. Extremely smooth and drinkable. I really like the honey & bread malts here, and smooth flavors and body. This is a great Kolsch. (Final Rating: 4.12)

This beer pours a clear pale gold with solid head. The aroma is bright and fruity with notes of white grape, fruity pebbles, marmalade, and raw wheat. The flavor is pleasant, if a touch shallow, with raw grain, white grape, and a mild acidic, and a chalky finish. The mouthfeel is very light, with a hint of sweetness, and moderate carbonation. Overall, an interesting little kolsch, definitely on the fruity side, with good vinous character, and maybe a touch too little body.
