Fully opaque, all clouded-up, bold crimson coloring, slim, pinkish head.

In the nose: Very berry, with a pinch of tart. Not a trace of sweetness about.

In the mouth: More sour, more berry. Nicely rounded. Medium bodied, easy drinking. Sour is mellow enough, not to strong, not too tart, and the berries are doing their thing. Rasp, blue, and black all blended up and sent into the sour.

Fruited Goses are all the rage (if they aren't Fruited Berliner Weisses). This one ain't bad. But this "pastry" shit has got to stop.

L: brilliant cranberry red, 1" off-white cap with fair to poor retention.

S: initial berry smell with very faint pie crust, fresh pastry

T: has a big berry flavor and a slightly less than lemonade tartness. It is a flavored tart beer. There is no funk and a litle funk would make it more interesting.

F: Light, tart, highly carbonated.

O: A little meh.

It really is a gorgeous beer. Gorgeous grapefruit purple/red with a large head that subsides but does have okay retention. Aroma recalls not-quite-ripe Granny Smith apples, along with a bit of sugar. As for taste, a little hard to pinpoint anything other than "tart"--berries? citrus? apples? all suffice I guess. I really like the salt, vanilla, and cream, it lends some complexity--a nice kick reminiscent of good cereal--to go along with the tartness. Medium body finishes dry. Overall solid, I actually thought I was buying a milkshake IPA--did not do a good job of reading the can. Grading on a curve as this is not really my style.

This beer pours a bright, clear rust red with a large very slightly pink head. The aroma features a bright and dusty fruit sourness, which is pleasant and gentle. The flavor is equally gentle, with a slow cascade of tart berry flavors, with a touch of vanilla and cream, and creamy cereal. The mouthfeel is fairly light, with anemic carbonation and a clean, sleek finish. Overall this is fine, but not really great - nothing is executed poorly, but it is rather one note, just fresh tart berry flavors with a nice simple feel.
