Chocolate Udderly Bright

Poured from a pint can into a Nonic pint glass. Sports a caramel colored, two fingered head, with nice lacing as the beer is consumed. Body of the beer is coal black. Has some chocolate notes on the nose, along with smoke and a hint of soy sauce. The first sip has a strong bittersweet chocolate flavor, with a bit of malty sweetness. Tanginess on the tongue completes the mouthfeel, with a relatively clean finish. Glad to see Bright Ideas hanging in there with some canned beers available. Greatly enjoyed sampling beers at their outdoor patio near the entrance to MASS MOCA two years ago. I hope that with some return to normalcy this summer I can repeat that experience!
