This is a very different beer - a Horchata Cream Ale - but it works, and it’s delicious.
It’s made with rice, cinnamon, and vanilla. It might sound like it would be candy sweet and disgusting, but it’s delicious.
Appearance is moderately hazy, pale yellow.
Smell is slightly sweet, slightly cinnamon. The smell comes across as something different.
The taste is delightful. It really is a cross between Horchata and a cream ale. Subtle, on the sweet side but not overly so, with background notes of rice pudding.
Mouthfeel is truly on the creamy side, but it’s not a milkshake.
This is a delightful alternative to a Pilsner or a light IPA. I could drink a few of these on a summer afternoon. It’s a rare gem.
