Vater von Pils stays true to tradition with a clean malt backbone, sturdy Saaz hops & crispy finish. Enjoy with bratwurst at backyard BBQs or on snowy ski slopes.

Clear, medium gold colored body; lively carbonation; thick, soapy white head, sticky flecks of foam dot the glass. Soft, bread crust aroma; mild herbal and grassy note. Fine lightly sweet cereal grain flavor; bread crust; toasty; light mineral presence; light to moderate hop bitterness. Light body; crisp; mild warmness overall.
I like this beer. It delivers a fine dry grain toastiness with just the right balance of sweetness for depth. The hop bitterness is subdued yet nicely offsets the sweet cereal aspect present in the beer. Very tasty for a relatively low ABV beer, too.

A: The beer is crystal clear yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high white head that consistently left a short head covering the surface and lacing coating the sides of the glass.
S: Moderately strong flavors of bready and pilsener malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste has moderate flavors of bready hops along with subtle bits of associated sweetness and faint hints of grassy hops.
M: It feels medium-bodied, clean, and somewhat smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This lager is all about the malts but still manages to be very drinkable.
Serving type: can

Unsung usually does me well like searching for Jenny McCarthy on the internet in the 8th grade. But what we have here... man, I don’t know. Whoa, I mean, hot damn! I’ve never had my taste buds assaulted this badly by Unsung before. It’s like that one time I tried Popeye’s Chicken in 2000 - no thank you! This beer is just damn weird. It’s not crisp. It’s not bready. It has some grains, but it finishes soft and nasty, like, well, you get the picture.
Pass!
