16oz canned on 01/16/2020. Sample from the brewery. Pilsner brewed with filtered water, heirloom Pilsner malt, Czech Saaz hops, and lime.
Pouring into a Spiegelau Lager glass yields a pale golden beer with a very slight haze from being unfiltered and a thick frothy white foam head that sticks around until the last sip. Aroma is clean with some apple and citrus. Lively and crisp with a creamy, medium body. Zesty lime start, followed by a citrus rind bitterness that's balanced by biscuit and honey malts and a soft, ripe pear sweetness. Dry finish with notes of orange, pepper, and crackers.
The addition of lime isn't overdone and complements the Saaz hops. I'm also a sucker for lime in lagers. Damn solid offering.
