Light amber colored body with light cloudiness; excellent carbonation; dense and rocky white head, sticky and sculpted; solid rings of foam spaced along the side of the glass. Fresh sweetness on the nose, like a cross between sweet tree sap and floral elements; citrus notes. Tasty and nicely balanced flavors; light malt base presence with a quiet touch of pine resin and just a twinge of ester presence; moderate note of hop bitterness. Fairly heavy body; velvety and creamy on the palate; dull sweetness yet dry overall; crisp hop and alcohol bite nibbles on the palate.
Oh, my. Looks like I will have to go back to my local to grab another can or two of this beer. A west coast IPA done up right, and, based on the ABV and Beer Judge Certification guidelines, certainly resides solidly in the imperial IPA regions. Regardless, this is a nicely balanced and complex beer with an excellent appearance and taste. And the mouthfeel is simply nirvana!
