look: 4 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3 | overall: 3.25
L- Looks 'quite black' but held to a halogen and it's deep ruby/chestnut. Pours with big pale tan head that is very slowly descending in upon itself. (ps 15mins later, still holding really well!).
S- There is a sweet note, plus chocolate - like you'd get from chocolate milk.
T- The flavour follows the choco-milk^ plus a hint of coffee. There is a faint hint of 'perfume' that I suspect if from the marsh mallows, but blind tasted I doubt I'd have picked up on it.
F- It has superb carbonation both in the glass and mouth; but I think the 4.0 ABV% leaves this underpowered, and I do occasionally get flashes of 'wateriness' about it.
O- Interesting/different. One look at the lable and ingredients and I could have run a mile! But it is better than I suspected I would find it. Now if they were to re-spec a version of this up around 7-8% I'd likely give it another try...
