Seven Bro7hers Brewery "Juicy IPA"
14.9 fl. oz. can coded "GYLE 864 BBE 21/04/2023" and sampled on 09/12/2022
$5.29 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ
Notes via stream of consciousness: The body is a hazy light gold beneath a finger's width of bright white foam. The aroma is fairly limited for a "JUICY IPA" but it is citrusy. I'm not even sure of how to describe that as no specific fruit is noteable. If I had to pick one I'd go with orange. On to the taste then... it's fairly light in flavor. The malt is basic but I think I'm finding some oats in there. I'm not necessarily getting wheat but I think it's safe to assume that they've used some as well. The hops are exactly as they are in the aroma, citrusy but not distinct. I'm thinking it's like a blend of orange and sweetened lemon with just the slightest hint of grapefruit. There's some melon and passionfruit there as well, and a touch of peach. It's lightly bitter and yet it finishes dry. How strong is this? 6%. Yeah, that makes sense. It's smooth in the mouth with a light-medium body and delicate, fine bubbled carbonation. I'm actually liking that a lot. It's a very nice, delicate beer all around. It's not exactly what I think of when I think of a juicy IPA but at the same time everything is there, it's just mild. That leaves it remarkably quaffable, and quite refreshing. I'm actually a little bit surprised that it's 6% because it doesn't really seem like it, but I still imagine that you could drink three or four of these in a row if you wanted to. My only question would be, would you want to, or would it get boring because there's not enough going on?
