A: deep black with a dark brown head.

S: oak and vanilla come out as well as an earthy and acidic coffee aroma. Chocolate and run round out the finish.

T: coffee takes center stage on this with the rum and chocolate taking a back seat. Vanilla and booze finish it.

M: creamy in mouthfeel, with a medium heavy body. Carbonation is lower, but works with the style.

O: overall white and enjoyable beer

L: Had this beer on-tap at Growlers to Go - Short Pump, poured into a snifter glass. Had a dark brown / black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, tan-colored, fairly long-lasting head. Good lacing.

S: A very nice aroma of dark chocolate, malt, coffee, cream, and dark fruit.

T: Tasted of a bit of coffee (not overwhelming), some mild dark fruit notes (dates, plums), a ton of dark chocolate, a bit of cream, and some malt (present throughout). This flavor's very much a chocolate bomb - sweet, smooth and rich. It's not one-dimensional, but the chocolate takes center stage. Tasty stuff.

F: An average amount of carbonation with a silky smooth finish. Full-bodied.

O: A solidly made, incredibly enjoyable stout. Drinkable.
