Pours opaque amber, with a one finger head. Minimal lacing.
It smells of mango, bready malts, citrus and caramel.
Taste is very fruity: bitter orange, mango, citrus, and apple, as well as a touch of caramel. There's also something like straw or hay in there, surprising given the hoppy character of the beer, but not unpleasant. It's just a little bit spicy, and slightly bitter (bottle says 50 IBU); both the spiciness and bitterness blend well with the fruity side and give this a little kick.
Medium body, light carbonation. It's very smooth and goes down pretty easily.
A really nice single-hop pale ale. Rich, complex taste and feel.
