Pitch black color with a light brown head with great retention and leaving a wall of laces. Excellent start.
Aroma with notes of cocoa, lots of cola and caramel, a bit of grapes, mild licorice and a bit of smoke.
Flavor with notes of smoked malt, cold homemade coffee, cocoa, charred wood, cola, caramel, blackcurrant, earth, brown sugar and herbal hops. Dry aftertaste with lingering earthy note. It feels lower than its 55 IBUs.
Medium body with appropriate carbonation. Hard to believe this has 9% abv.
Sure this is the best beer from their portfolio. As expected, Argentineans normally do better their dark beers. This Baltic Porter generally fits the style, just crossed the style burnt line a bit. Nevertheless the smoked malt made it more interesting.
