Reviewed from notes taken Summer 2014. Served on-draught into a stem-tulip in Tallinn, Estonia.
HEAD: White in colour. Half a finger in height. Average across the board. Leaves spotty inconsistent lacing on the sides of the glass as it recedes.
BODY: Translucent semitransparent copper gold. No yeast/sediment is visible within.
Not a unique or special appearance overall.
AROMA: Dried grass/grassy hop aromatics. Pale malts. Fresh floral hop aromatics. Wort-like raw sweetness. Helles malts.
A lovely aroma for a blond ale. Mild aromatic intensity.
No yeast aromatics, off-notes, or overt booze is detectable.
TASTE: Fresh helles malts. Grassy hops. Some floral hop notes. Pale malts. Honey malts. Balanced albeit simple.
Not real subtle or intricate in execution. Doesn't amount to a gestalt whole, never exceeding the sum of its parts. Cohesive, though, and enjoyable.
I do like it. Depth, duration, and intensity of flavour are average.
TEXTURE: Smooth, wet, crisp, medium-bodied. Slightly overcarbonated. A biteen thick. Not oily, gushed, hot, boozy, astringent, harsh, or rough.
Suits the taste pretty well, though it doesn't elevate the beer as a whole or accentuate specific flavours.
OVERALL: Drinkable and enjoyable for what it is. I'll easily finish my glass. It's a nice brew for the price. Not unique or special fare, but I'm glad I tried it.
