The beer pours a dark gold color with a creamy white head that fades to lacing. The aroma is good. It has a nice malty scent that boasts of pale and light crystal malts along with a floral hop presence that is quite refreshing. The taste is great. It has awesome hop character that is powerful from start to finish. It is balanced with a complex malt bill that boasts of pale and light crystal malts. It is smooth and refreshing. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a medium bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is a very good American pale ale. It has good malt presence and a kick ass hop quality; an excellent drinker.

This was my second favorite of the 7 beers I tasted from this brewery today (see the ESB). It had a small foamy head, some lacing, a nice caramel aroma, and the initial taste was hoppy - prickly carbonation stabs the tongue, a nice mild malt middle, a thickish body, followed by a slightly tart finish. Complex and satisfying.
